The 63rd ICG Publicists Awards took place Friday at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, where the publicity teams for Warner Bros’ *Sinners* and HBO Max’s *The Pitt* were honored with the top prizes. A comprehensive list of winners is provided below.
Chrissy Quesada from Sony Pictures was awarded the Les Mason Award for Career Achievement in Publicity.
Michelle Alt of Paramount Pictures earned the Publicist of the Year Award, while Kevin McCarthy from *On Film… with Kevin McCarthy* received the Press Award. The International Media Award was awarded to Ali Plumb of BBC Radio in the UK.
Atsushi Nishijima and Jake Giles Netter took home the film and television prizes for Unit Still Photography, respectively.
Special honors were also given out during the ceremony. Kate Hudson, an Oscar nominee for *Song Sung Blue*, received the Motion Picture Showperson of the Year Award, which was presented by Leslie Odom Jr. Noah Wyle, an Emmy winner for *The Pitt*, accepted the Television Showperson of the Year Award. His award was presented by an executive producer of *The Pitt*.
Jimmy Kimmel, a late-night veteran and four-time Oscar host, received the President’s Award, a rare recognition awarded only for “extraordinary circumstances.” This marks the first time the President’s Award has been given since 2017 and the fifth in the 21st century. The announcement featured a prerecorded message from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
In her acceptance speech, Hudson highlighted the importance of bringing cinematic magic to audiences, stating, “Making movies is an extraordinary process; it doesn’t end when we wrap. We are also tasked with bringing that magic to audiences, and publicity is a huge part of that. I’m the showperson, and you’re the ‘ship.’”
Wyle expressed pride in reviving a television show in a city he loves. “A 15-episode show that employs hundreds and hundreds of artisans and artists, and showcases their talents to the world… that is what brought these guilds and unions into existence, the belief in the power of collective, the strength in our solidarity, and primacy of our creativity,” he remarked during his acceptance speech.
Kimmel acknowledged his long-time publicist, Lewis Kay, stating, “I’ve never caused him any problems at all,” and dedicated his award to those who illuminate the work of others.
The annual awards celebrate Local 600 publicists, unit still photographers, outstanding publicity campaigns for TV and film, and the best entertainment journalists of the year. Last year, the 62nd Publicists Awards recognized the teams behind *Wicked* and *All About Agatha* with its top honors.
