Simone Biles Celebrates Valentine’s Day in Milan with Husband Jonathan Owens
Simone Biles is enjoying a lavish Valentine’s Day celebration with her husband, Jonathan Owens, during their trip to Milan. The Olympic gold medalist shared a heartfelt moment on Instagram, posting a selfie with Owens at the Bottega Veneta boutique and expressing gratitude for his generous surprises.
"Always spoiling me," Biles, 28, captioned the post on February 15. The couple made the journey to Milan not only to celebrate the occasion but also to support Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
In another post, Biles highlighted a striking white handbag adorned with a gold monogram, writing, “I never knew Bottega did this, might be a special Milan thing?! But how f***in cute?” While Biles did not disclose their specific purchases, her husband was vocal about their shopping experience. “The shopping in Milan is elite,” Owens, 30, remarked on his Instagram Stories.
Owens, who hails from St. Louis, met Biles in 2020 through the dating app Raya. Reflecting on their initial connection, he noted, “It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything… It created our bond and made it stronger. Now, I’m so thankful.”
Interestingly, Owens admitted he was unfamiliar with Biles’ illustrious gymnastics career when they first met. “I didn’t know who she was,” he said. Despite this, he has since embraced his role as her biggest supporter, attending her competitions, including the 2024 Summer Olympics, where she made her return to gymnastics after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Games due to mental health concerns. “I just tell her, ‘Go do your thing, baby,’” he shared about his encouragement before competitions.
Biles, who married Owens in 2023, reciprocates his support by attending his NFL games. Owens, currently a safety for the Chicago Bears, commented on the focus that comes from their relationship. “I’ve played a lot better since [meeting Simone]. I’ve just been focused and locked in,” he stated.
Biles proudly supports Owens’ NFL career as well, often showing her enthusiasm during games. “Another Bears win, well-deserved! Proud wife,” she exclaimed in a social media post highlighting his accomplishments. The couple celebrated their recent playoff run, though the Bears fell short of the conference championships this year.
As Biles continues to excel in her gymnastics career, her partnership with Owens stands as a testament to mutual support and dedication, both in sports and personal life.
