Fatal Shooting at South LA Taco Stand Under Investigation
LOS ANGELES – A man was shot and killed early Monday morning at a taco stand in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles, prompting an active investigation by law enforcement officials.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Figueroa and 77th streets. Upon arrival, they discovered a man inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of now, police have not released the identity of the victim. Additionally, no information regarding the shooter or a potential motive for the incident has been disclosed. Authorities are assessing whether the victim was specifically targeted or if the shooting was a random act of violence.
