Two Wounded in Santa Monica Pier Shooting Following Brawl
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Two individuals sustained injuries in a shooting at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday night, officials reported. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. after a physical altercation escalated, leading to gunfire.
Authorities with the Santa Monica Police Department confirmed that both victims were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive their non-life-threatening injuries. In response to the shooting, officers established a secure perimeter around the area, temporarily closing parts of the pier to facilitate the investigation.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and police have not released details regarding the identities of the shooting victims, including their ages or genders.
The pier is scheduled to reopen on Monday as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
