Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox Excited to Reunite on CBS Daytime This Week: Join the Fun!
Two familiar faces will return to Genoa City starting April 6 as Shemar Moore and Vivica A. Fox reprise their roles on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. Moore will again play Malcolm Winters, while Fox takes on her character, Dr. Stephanie Simmons. The upcoming storyline is expected to have "lasting implications" for the show’s residents.
Both actors shared their excitement for the return on social media. Moore noted, “We’re young, restless, and reunited,” hinting at the nostalgia surrounding their characters’ re-entry into the narrative.
Moore, who recently completed filming for S.W.A.T. Exiles, originally portrayed Malcolm Winters from 1994 until 2005, with subsequent guest appearances in 2014, 2019, and 2023. His last appearance marked the show’s 50th anniversary, during which he honored the late Kristoff St. John.
Fox, who debuted in daytime television with the influential drama Generations, portrayed Dr. Stephanie Simmons from 1994 to 1995. This return marks her first appearance on Y&R since 1995, where she performed alongside St. John.
Produced by Bell Dramatic Serial Company in association with Sony Pictures Television, The Young and the Restless recently announced a crossover event with Beyond the Gates, set to begin airing in June. The show airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. PT on CBS and is available for streaming on Paramount+.
