Sharon Osbourne Reflects on Emotional Ozzy Tribute at 2026 Grammy Awards
Sharon Osbourne expressed her heartfelt gratitude following the tribute to her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, during the 2026 Grammy Awards. The ceremony, held on February 1, recognized the late Black Sabbath frontman during the In Memoriam segment with a powerful performance featuring acclaimed artists Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, Andrew Watt, and Chad Smith.
Sharon described the tribute as "a moment carved into musical history" in a poignant Instagram post, emphasizing the significance of the event for both the rock genre and for the Osbourne family.
Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away last July at the age of 76, was honored through a rendition of "War Pigs," a classic from Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album. Sharon, accompanied by her children Aimee, Jack, and Kelly, attended the awards show, where the performance visibly moved the family, with many in tears.

In her Instagram post, Sharon stated, "Last night was bigger than a performance. It was a moment carved into musical history. Reminding everyone that rock isn’t nostalgia – it’s alive, evolving, and still the heartbeat of music." She commended the performers, describing Post Malone’s performance as "pure magic" and praised the talent of Slash, Duff McKagan, Andrew Watt, and Chad Smith as "masters of their craft and complete icons."
Sharon’s emotional tribute underscored the lasting impact that Ozzy Osbourne had on the music world. "Truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️ Ozzy was definitely in the building ✌️ 🙏🤘," she concluded.

British rocker Yungblud also paid tribute to Ozzy, revealing on the red carpet that he and Sharon had participated in a personal ceremony together, lighting a candle in honor of the music icon. He excitedly noted, “It’s my first Grammys…but yeah man. It all goes to Ozzy tonight."
Yungblud later received his first Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance for his cover of "Changes," a song originally performed by Black Sabbath. He brought Sharon onstage during his acceptance speech, celebrating the enduring legacy of rock music while declaring, "Rock music is coming back. Watch out pop music, we’re gonna f—ing get ya!"

Kelly Osbourne praised the tribute to her father, expressing the family’s appreciation for the support shown by his peers. "You know, it’s just such a beautiful thing that his peers are showing their love and respect for his work tonight, and it’s going to be an emotional experience for us," she noted.
Reflecting on her father’s passing, Kelly shared, "I won’t lie. I won’t be one of those people that say I’m fine because I’m not. That’s the hardest thing I’ve ever been through in my life."
