Sharlene Whyte, Aran Murphy, and Robbie Gee to Star in HBO Series ‘Youth’
A new series follows the journey of a 50-year-old divorcee navigating the complexities of love and intimacy while balancing the responsibilities of caring for her aging parents and parenting her adult son.
Youth is produced by Merman, featuring Sharon Horgan in multiple roles as the writer, star, and executive producer. Joining her as executive producers are Faye Dorn (Merman), Jim Kleverweis, and Dawn Shadforth, who will also serve as the director.
This series marks Horgan’s return to HBO, following her successful tenure as the creator and executive producer of the network’s 2016 comedy Divorce, which aired for three seasons and starred Sarah Jessica Parker.
The cast includes Whyte, known for her roles in season two of Sherwood and Mr. Loverman, while Murphy will soon appear in Klara and the Sun alongside Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams. Gee has been involved in projects like Supacell and Paddington 2.
Representation for the cast includes Kate Morrisson from B-Side Management for Whyte, The Lisa Richards Agency and David Weber/Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern for Murphy, and Jonathan Hall at Identity Agency Group for Gee.
