Multiple Injuries Reported in Downtown Los Angeles Stabbing Incident
Police are investigating a stabbing that resulted in several injuries at a business in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday evening. Officials responded to the incident around 5:15 p.m. in the 500 block of West 7th Street, near the intersection with Olive Street.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman wielding a knife left the premises shortly after the attack. Initial reports indicated at least one victim, and authorities suspect the assailant may have also inflicted wounds upon herself before departing the scene. Emergency crews were dispatched to assist those injured.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that patients were treated at two separate locations. Fire officials reported a total of six individuals affected by the incident. Five victims sustained minor injuries and were classified as being in fair condition, while one person required more extensive medical attention.
At this time, authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
