Season 4 of The Traitors on Peacock Has Announced Its Winner
SPOILER ALERT: This report contains details on the outcome of The Traitors Season 4.
The fourth season of The Traitors has concluded following a gripping finale filled with deceit and strategy. As the season wrapped up, the fates of the final contestants were revealed.
At the start of the Season 4 finale of the Peacock competition series, six contestants remained: Traitors Rob Rausch and Eric Nam, alongside Faithfuls Maura Higgins, Tara Lipinski, Mark Ballas, and Johnny Weir. Notably, Rob, who gained fame on Love Island USA, was the last of the original Traitors, having turned against his fellow members Lisa Rinna and Candiace Dillard Bassett. After their banishment, Rob enlisted Eric, who had largely flown under the radar, as his new Traitor partner.
Hosted by Alan Cumming, The Traitors is adapted from the Dutch series De Varraders. In this game, the Faithful must identify the Traitors before they are eliminated either through murder or banishment. Each week, both groups engage in challenges to accumulate funds for a cash prize that only the remaining Traitors or Faithfuls can claim.
The finale opened with the shocking revelation that Mark Ballas was the last Faithful to be murdered by the Traitors. The remaining five contestants participated in one final challenge that could potentially increase their cash prize to $220,800.
During the last roundtable, the remaining contestants had to rely on intuition to determine if any Traitors remained in the game. Suspicion primarily targeted Eric, Tara, and Johnny as they deliberated.
The voting breakdown from the final roundtable was as follows:
- Eric: Johnny
- Johnny: Eric
- Rob: Johnny
- Tara: Eric
- Maura: Johnny
Ultimately, Johnny Weir, a Faithful, was banished. In the subsequent Fire of Truth, Maura, Eric, Rob, and Tara opted for the red pouch, indicating their belief that a Traitor was still in play. However, Tara was later voted out.
In the second round, Eric chose to end the game while Maura and Rob opted to continue. The voting resulted in Eric and Rob targeting each other, with Eric choosing to banish Rob.
With only Rob and Maura remaining, and Rob identified as the Traitor, he emerged victorious, claiming the $220,800 cash prize and securing the title of The Traitors Season 4 champion.
