Season 2 Trailer of ‘Running Point’ Features Special Appearances by Octavia Spencer and Lisa Rinna
The Netflix basketball comedy series, Running Point, is gearing up for its second season, introducing a host of new faces alongside its familiar cast.
On Thursday, the streaming platform unveiled the first trailer for Season 2, which features returning stars Kate Hudson and Jason Theroux. The season will also see guest appearances by acclaimed actors Octavia Spencer, Lisa Rinna, Nicole Richie, Scott Speedman, and co-creator Ike Barinholtz.
Set to premiere on April 23, Season 2 follows Isla Gordon, portrayed by Hudson, who asserts that she’s not merely holding her brother Cam’s (Theroux) place as she leads the Los Angeles Waves amid the fallout from last season’s scandal. Meanwhile, Cam is quietly strategizing to regain his position, using every misstep against Isla as a tool for his plan.
The show is crafted by an accomplished team, including Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, David Stassen, and Barinholtz, and features a strong ensemble cast that includes Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman, and Uche Agada.
