Season 2 of ‘Deli Boys’ is Here: Meet the Exciting New Cast Members!
Deli Boys is set to return for its second season on Hulu on May 28, featuring an array of new recurring and guest stars.
New additions to the cast include Andrew Rannells and Kumail Nanjiani in recurring roles, along with guest stars Lilly Singh and Robin Thede. Tan France will reprise his role as Zubair, a British crime mobster, joining series regulars Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, Poorna Jagannathan, and Fred Armisen.
Armisen joined the primary cast when Deli Boys was renewed last August and will portray Max Sugar, a gambling savant with a remarkable talent for reading people. His global casino empire centers in Philadelphia, making him both brilliant and dangerously unstable.
The series, crafted by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver, follows Mir and Raj Dar (Ali and Shaikh), two privileged Pakistani American brothers who must confront their father’s hidden life of crime as they take on his role in the underworld. Jagannathan plays Naveeda “Lucky,” Baba’s confidante and a crime boss auntie.

In its second season, the Dars find that inheriting a criminal empire comes with its own set of challenges. As they grapple with an influx of illicit cash, they face threats from Philadelphia’s most dubious characters. Enter Max Sugar, the casino tycoon and money launderer, who complicates Lucky’s life with a chaotic relationship. Meanwhile, Raj seeks revenge on Ahmad, while Mir attempts to expand DarCo without catastrophic consequences. Philadelphia D.A. Andrew Chadwater (Rannells) hopes that a significant bust will elevate him to mayor.
Details regarding the new cast roles are as follows:
Rannells will portray Andrew Chadwater, a district attorney with aspirations to become mayor.
Nanjiani will take on the role of Danyal, a defense attorney enlisted by Max Sugar.
Singh will play Aisha, the wife of Maalik Ali (Shahjehan Khan), who is infatuated with Raj.
Thede will assume the role of Dr. Iverson, a couples therapist with dubious ethics.
The half-hour series for Hulu was created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions. Michelle Nader serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Saeed, Konner, and Silver. The series is produced by 20th Television and is part of the Onyx Collective.
