Season 2 of Beef is Coming to Netflix: Here’s What You Need to Know
Netflix has announced that Season 2 of Beef will premiere on April 16. This confirmation follows the streaming platform’s October declaration of its commitment to continue with the critically acclaimed anthology series. The new season will feature notable talents including Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny. The date was revealed on Wednesday as part of Netflix’s slate announcement for 2026.
In the upcoming season, a young couple inadvertently becomes embroiled in a disturbing conflict between their boss and his wife. This incident sets off a series of manipulative moves within the elite circles of a country club run by a Korean billionaire.
The first season of Beef, which premiered in 2023 and starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, garnered significant critical acclaim, winning numerous awards. These include eight Emmy Awards, four Critics Choice Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, two Gotham Awards, two Film Independent Spirit Awards, two SAG Awards, as well as PGA, WGA, and AFI Honors.
In the initial season, Yeun and Wong portrayed two strangers whose lives become intertwined following an unexpected road rage incident, a concept inspired by series creator Lee Sung Jin’s own experiences.
The forthcoming season will consist of eight episodes, each lasting approximately 30 minutes. Lee will reprise his role as creator, showrunner, and executive producer, while Yeun, Wong, and Jake Schreier will also serve as executive producers. A24 is attached as the studio.
