During the awards ceremony, he was seen smoking indoors while seated with his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio and actress Kate Hudson, according to reports.

While Nicov did not accompany Penn to the Golden Globe Awards, the pair were recently photographed together at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025. They were first spotted together in Madrid in September 2024, with their relationship gaining visibility after appearing together at Los Angeles Airport a month later.
