Scripps Launches New Interview Show with Alisyn Camerota and Kevin Hart’s ‘Silver Fox Club,’ Plus a Sports FAST Channel
The E.W. Scripps Co. has announced an exciting expansion of its programming slate, including a new unscripted original series produced by Kevin Hart, an interview series hosted by former CNN and Fox News personality Alisyn Camerota, and a 24/7 sports channel.
The announcements, made just ahead of the company’s upfront presentation for 2026-27 in New York, highlight Scripps’ broad portfolio, which encompasses local and national broadcast television, streaming services, digital platforms, and print media. Notably, the company’s annual spelling bee has established itself as a flagship event.
With the Ion broadcast network holding rights to both WNBA and NWSL games, Scripps aims to establish a dedicated outlet for live sports events, original programming, documentaries, and related content. The Scripps Sports Network (SSN) is set to launch on Tuesday across major streaming platforms, including the Roku Channel, Amazon’s Fire TV Channels and Prime Video, and Samsung TV Plus.
The company’s commitment to women’s sports is evidenced by the 25% year-over-year increase in streaming viewership for NWSL and WNBA games on Ion in 2025, reflecting a growing interest in women’s athletics.
“Our recent live sports streaming growth tells us that fans are hungry for more,” said Brian Lawlor, president of Scripps Sports. “A dedicated 24/7 sports FAST channel allows us to further leverage our existing sports rights, create a platform for emerging league partnerships, and grow our position in sports, particularly women’s sports, all while serving fans and marketing partners year-round.”
Keisha Taylor Starr, the general manager of Scripps Networks and chief marketing officer, emphasized that the FAST channel is designed to offer a distinctive alternative in the “today’s fragmented sports media landscape,” providing a reliable and easily accessible home for dedicated fans.
Camerota will host “Connected with Alisyn Camerota” on the Scripps News streaming network, which debuts this Friday at 8 p.m. ET. The half-hour program will feature one-on-one conversations with influential figures from sports, politics, music, and journalism. Camerota noted, “Scripps News is the natural home for these conversations because it values depth, connection, and authenticity.”
Additionally, Bounce, a multicast network acquired by Scripps in 2017, will introduce “The Silver Fox Squad,” another unscripted series produced by Hart’s Hartbeat and BluSpeed Productions. This series aims to highlight what Scripps describes as the “grown-man glow-up,” featuring stylish, accomplished men over the age of 50 sharing their insights into personal and professional development. The series will begin its 10-week run later this year on Bounce.
