Scarlett Johansson and Jack Antonoff’s 2002 Yearbook Photo Resurfaces Online
Christy Carlson Romano Remembers High School Days with Rare Throwback Photo
In a nostalgic moment, actress Christy Carlson Romano shared a throwback photo featuring her high school classmates Scarlett Johansson and Jack Antonoff. The post, made on Tuesday, March 24, coincides with the announcement of her forthcoming memoir, Once Upon a Trainwreck: The Fall and Rise of a Child Star, set to be published in October.
The photo, taken from a 2002 yearbook at the Professional Children’s School in New York City, captures Johansson and Antonoff, both 41, alongside their fellow students. At that time, the Oscar-nominated actress and Grammy-winning musician were reportedly in a relationship, with images of their prom together surfacing online in 2014.
“It took me two grueling years to write this memoir. I had to relive my lowest lows, my highest highs, and find the courage to share my most vulnerable moments with you,” Romano wrote in her Instagram post. “It’s risky. It’s honest. It’s the most empowered I’ve ever felt. And I’m proud to finally share it,” she continued.
All three individuals from this group have gone on to achieve remarkable success in Hollywood. Romano is well-known for her roles in Disney’s Even Stevens and as the voice of Kim Possible. Johansson is a two-time Oscar nominee, while Antonoff has garnered multiple Grammy Awards for his production work on Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Folklore, as well as for his contributions to the band Fun.
Currently, Johansson is happily married to Colin Jost, known for his role on Saturday Night Live, with whom she shares a four-year-old son, Cosmo. She also has an 11-year-old daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
Antonoff, who previously dated Girls creator Lena Dunham, married actress Margaret Qualley in August 2023. In a February 2024 interview with Elle UK, Qualley expressed her deep connection with Antonoff, stating, “I think we’ve kind of been operating like a married couple since the beginning, so it wasn’t a drastic change, but I really love the security of it.”
Both Romano’s memoir and the memories of high school reflect the personal journeys and professional achievements of these prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
