Savannah Guthrie Shares Her Family’s Hope for a Miracle Amid Concerns for Her Mother Nancy; Reward of Up to $1 Million Announced
Savannah Guthrie has shared a heartfelt new video regarding the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, announcing a reward of up to $1 million for information that leads to her recovery.
As the 24th day since Nancy Guthrie’s abduction from her home near Tucson passes, her daughter expressed both hope and the harsh reality that her mother may not return.
Guthrie stated, “We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope, as my sister says, ‘We are blowing on the embers of hope.’ We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce and with our daddy. If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is. We need her to come home.”
The $1 million reward aligns with FBI guidelines for similar cases. Federal authorities have also offered up to $100,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and for the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance. Guthrie has highlighted the FBI’s tip line, which allows callers to remain anonymous.

In addition to the reward, the co-host of the Today show has announced a $500,000 donation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to support families dealing with loss and searching for missing loved ones.
“We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support,” Guthrie said.
Guthrie also urged anyone with information to come forward: “If you hear this message, if you’ve been waiting and you haven’t been sure, let this be your sign to please come forward, tell what you know, and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate the glorious, miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she has lived. Please be the light in the dark.”
Since her mother’s disappearance, Guthrie has been absent from the Today show. Nancy Guthrie was last seen on the evening of January 31, after being dropped off at her residence in the Catalina Foothills. The FBI has released images and video of a masked individual identified as a person of interest, captured by Guthrie’s front-door camera.
Investigations by federal authorities and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are ongoing, with efforts to pursue tips yielding no significant breakthroughs. Reports have emerged from various media outlets, including TMZ and local Tucson stations, regarding suspected ransom notes.
More to come.
