Saudi Cinema and Music Innovators Telfaz11 and MDLBEAST Join Forces in Exciting New Partnership at Red Sea
Saudi creative studio Telfaz11 and music platform MDLBEAST announced a strategic partnership during the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah on Monday.
This collaboration brings together two prominent entertainment entities from Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the country’s revitalized entertainment landscape following the 2017 lifting of a 35-year ban on cinema and live performances.
Telfaz11, which emerged during the YouTube boom of the 2010s, has played a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s indie film industry, delivering box office successes such as Mandoob and Sattar.
Founded in 2019, MDLBEAST has established itself as the largest music-focused entertainment brand in Saudi Arabia, showcasing events like the Soundstorm music festival, with its latest edition set for December 11 to 13 outside Riyadh, featuring artists such as Cardi B, Post Malone, and Calvin Harris.
The agreement will see both companies work together on music licensing and integration for Telfaz11’s upcoming feature films and original productions.
“Our partnership with Telfaz11 expands the creative canvas for Saudi and regional artists and composers and leverages our expansive music library from around the world. Together, we’re amplifying the sounds of culture,” said Talal Albahiti, COO of MDLBEAST.
The announcement was celebrated at the Red Sea Film Festival with an event held at the historic Beyet Xenel building in Jeddah’s Al-Balad neighborhood, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Image Nation.
Festival attendees enjoyed performances from German DJ Habibi Funk and Saudi Sudanese DJ Shaolin, mingling with a vibrant young crowd.
Alaa Fadan, CEO of Telfaz11, remarked, “This partnership underscores our shared commitment to elevating creative and Saudi voices in films and cinema. By joining forces with MDLBEAST Records, we’re combining the power of Telfaz11’s storytelling with the cultural energy of music—creating authentic, emotionally charged cinematic worlds that resonate with our audiences.”
Both companies emphasized that this partnership marks a significant step towards developing a fully integrated film and music ecosystem, aimed at supporting local talent and enhancing intellectual property value.
