Sai De Silva from RHONY and Husband David Craig Separate After Nearly 9 Years of Marriage
Sai De Silva and David Craig Announce Divorce After Nearly Ten Years of Marriage
Sai De Silva, a prominent cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City, and her husband, David Craig, are ending their marriage after almost a decade. Craig filed for divorce in New York on April 2, though neither party has publicly commented on their separation.
The couple first met in 2009 during a trip to Costa Rica and married in 2017. They share two children: a daughter, London, born in 2011, and a son, Rio, born in 2017. Despite their public personas, De Silva and Craig had kept much of their relationship private prior to her involvement with Bravo.
In a 2024 interview on the "Sofia With an F" podcast, De Silva expressed her discomfort with the public scrutiny that often accompanies a high-profile relationship. "I feel like when you put your relationship out there… people come with, ‘This is what you signed up for,’ to scrutinize and to judge you," she said. "My relationship is not open for judgment."
De Silva explained that while Craig occasionally appears on RHONY, she often keeps his image off her social media, stating, "My husband is very much involved in my life… Anything that I can control, like my social media platforms, what is he there for?" She noted that Craig is not actively seeking fame and prefers to remain out of the limelight.
"He’s not on social media at all, not even a Facebook page," she added. "He has nothing, so he really is uninterested in what I do for a living." Despite his lack of interest in the social media sphere, she described him as supportive and amusing.
De Silva also mentioned her preference for Craig to remain uninvolved in the show’s drama. "I download him, of course… you shoot the s*** and you give them the tea," she remarked, referring to sharing details about the reality TV world with him. "But at the same time, because I am on this show, I just don’t want him involved in the chitchat."
As The Real Housewives of New York City prepares for its sixteenth season, De Silva continues to film alongside fellow cast members Jessel Taank, Erin Lichy, and Carole Radziwell, marking a new chapter in her journey as a reality star.
