Sabrina Carpenter made a surprise appearance during Saturday Night Live on January 17. Joining host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky, Carpenter contributed to a humorous sketch.
The 26-year-old pop star, who previously hosted and performed on the show in October 2025, returned to participate in a sketch centered on teenage boys discussing their favorite snacks on a podcast.
Titled “Snack Homiez,” the nearly six-minute sketch features a group of 12-year-olds, including Stranger Things star Wolfhard and cast members Chloe Fineman, Jane Wickline, and Veronika Slowikowska. The boys humorously roast one another while ranking their “goated snacks of 2026,” using accurate Gen Alpha slang such as “low-key,” “bro chill,” “no Diddy,” and “chopped.”
After sharing their favorites—including toasted Uncrustables, celery after soccer practice, and deviled eggs—the boys directed their attention toward A$AP Rocky. Wolfhard, portraying a “looksmaxxing gigachad” Twitch streamer, complimented the rapper’s facial structure. When asked about his favorite snack, Rocky revealed his own flavor of Rap Snacks potato chips: Fashion Killa Dilla Pickle.
In a separate segment of the show, Rocky performed three tracks from his newly released album, Don’t Be Dumb, which debuted on January 16. He opened with “Punk Rocky,” showcasing the same high energy found in the music video featuring Winona Ryder, accompanied by Danny Elfman on drums and Thundercat on bass. He later performed a medley of “Helicopter” and the album’s title track.
Saturday’s episode marked A$AP Rocky’s first appearance as a musical guest on SNL. However, he had previously featured in a 2018 sketch titled “Friendos” alongside Kenan Thompson and Donald Glover.
Carpenter last graced the stage of SNL in October 2025, where she served as both host and musical guest following the release of her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. During that appearance, she performed her Billboard Hot 100 hit “Manchild” and “Nobody’s Son.”
