Robin Hood Is Coming Back for a Second Season on MGM+
MGM+ has announced the return of its acclaimed series Robin Hood for a second, expanded season, promising to deliver a fresh take on the legendary tale of the infamous outlaw.
Produced by Lionsgate Television and helmed by John Glenn, the series features performances by Jack Patten, Lauren McQueen, and Sean Bean. According to MGM+, the first season of Robin Hood stands as “one of MGM+’s all-time best first-season performers.”
This upcoming season will expand the narrative beyond Sherwood Forest and Nottingham, venturing into the complex and dangerous courts of England, France, and Rome. The series transforms the outlaw’s struggle into a high-stakes conflict for the future of the kingdom. As the Angevin empire faces internal strife, protagonists Rob and Marian will find themselves entangled with monarchs, navigating the very powers they originally sought to challenge to secure the Saxon future.
Casting details for Season 2 will be announced soon. In the first season, Patten and McQueen portrayed the lead roles while Bean depicted the notorious Sheriff of Nottingham. The cast also includes Lydia Peckham, Steven Waddington, and Connie Nielsen.
