Robert Pattinson Hints at Exciting Developments in ‘The Batman Part II’
Actor Robert Pattinson, currently starring in The Drama, is gearing up to reprise his role in The Batman Part II. At a recent red carpet event for his A24 film, where he shares the screen with Zendaya, Pattinson offered insights into the upcoming sequel to Matt Reeves’ acclaimed portrayal of the iconic superhero.
Pattinson shared that fans can expect a markedly different experience in the sequel compared to the first installment released in 2022. “It’s going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings,” he stated, hinting at the film’s ambitious direction.
Further elaborating on the project’s potential, Pattinson emphasized, “I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different. It’s taking some big swings.”
Colin Farrell, who portrays Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot (The Penguin) in the film series, has also expressed admiration for the script. During his appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Farrell described the screenplay as a “masterwork,” praising Reeves for his creativity.
“I had many thoughts to share with Matt about the script. It’s so brilliant, and Robert has got such a lovely journey to take the audience through,” he said, indicating the depth and thoughtfulness of the narrative. He further commented, “It’s dense, it’s really intelligent, it’s so deep and detailed. I think he’s going to make an extraordinary film.”
The Batman Part II is scheduled to begin filming this spring, with a release date set for October 1, 2027. Additionally, Scarlett Johansson is reportedly considering a role in the sequel, while Sebastian Stan is in talks to join the DC Universe.
