Fringe events during Riyadh Music Week are designed to showcase emerging artists and to transform established grassroots venues into intimate hubs for creativity. The curated Fringe sessions will feature local talent in unique locations throughout the city.
Alongside these events, Riyadh Music Week will enhance the cultural fabric of the city through vibrant public space activations. These experiences aim to engage both residents and visitors, bringing music to central locations while celebrating the essence of Riyadh Music Week.
Organized by the Music Commission, Riyadh Music Week supports the Kingdom’s music ecosystem through thought leadership, education, innovation, and international collaboration. The event aims to honor the rich history of music in Riyadh while building its future.
Scheduled from December 7-10, Riyadh Music Week’s programming extends beyond main stages into popular cultural venues and outdoor public spaces, spotlighting local talent and fostering creative communities. Established sites such as warehouses, studios, and cafés will become intimate venues where artists and audiences can connect through music.
This year’s lineup features some of Saudi Arabia’s most innovative music communities, including URX (Underrated X), MDLBEAST Records, The Fridge, Bohemia Records, Merwas, and The Warehouse. Each partner will host a themed evening, complementing Riyadh Music Week’s core programming.
URX: Riyadh Rhythm at SALT, Riyadh Park
On December 10, URX will present “Riyadh Rhythm,” an outdoor Fringe Night at SALT Restaurant in Riyadh Park. This event will offer a blend of curated house and electronic music in a community-focused atmosphere. The session will run from 7 PM to midnight, with a capacity of 300 guests, and is family-friendly, featuring accessible parking.
MDLBEAST Records: IMMF showcase
Saudi-based label MDLBEAST Records will host a special Fringe showcase in conjunction with an International Music Managers Forum (IMMF) session. This night will spotlight Arabic electronica, showcasing the label’s role in promoting local, regional, and global Arabic talent across various genres.
The Fridge: Open Mic featuring Little Legends
Launching its first Open Mic in KSA on December 7 at Personage Warehouse C11, The Fridge will host a dual-segment event. The Little Legends segment welcomes performers aged 7-14, while the general open mic invites artists aged 15 and older. Free to attend but requiring pre-registration, the event highlights budding talent in a supportive environment.
The Fridge Presents: Emerging Saudi Artists
On December 8, this showcase will feature three prominent Saudi artists at Personage Warehouse C11. With performances from Shargeeya, Zain Faiez, and Turki Al Abdullah from 8 PM to 10 PM, the event emphasizes original compositions across multiple genres. Entry requires advance registration due to limited capacity.
The Fridge Concert Series launches in KSA with Tamtam
On December 9, The Fridge will officially launch its Concert Series in Saudi Arabia at Personage Warehouse C11. Headlining will be Tamtam, supported by Khaleeji Blonde, with a focus on original Arabic pop, trap, and R&B. Doors will open at 8 PM, and ticketed entry is required due to capacity limitations.
Bohemia Records: Wax Head – A Bohemia Records Takeover
Scheduled for December 9-10 at TWH – J08 in the JAX Culture area, this event will celebrate vinyl culture and underground sounds with live DJ sets and performances. Entry is free with online registration, ensuring an intimate experience with a capacity of around 60 guests for certain events.
The Warehouse: Lammah and Jalsat
On December 7-8, The Warehouse at JAX District will host two special nights of oriental music, inviting audiences to engage with classic Arabic melodies. These intimate gatherings promise a cozy atmosphere and limited capacity for attendees.
Merwas: Studio Tours and Live Band Night
Merwas will hold a one-night Fringe Session with studio tours followed by a live band performance, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the world’s largest music studio complex. This session is designed to foster engagement and connection with performances inspired by both Arabic and English music.
