Riverside County Experiences 3.3-Magnitude Earthquake
A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Riverside County late Saturday afternoon, as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The tremor occurred near Banning at approximately 4:40 p.m. in a mostly uninhabited region.
Residents in Banning and Beaumont reported feeling the shaking, with additional reports coming from Lake Elsinore, the Menifee area, and parts of the Coachella Valley, according to data collected through the USGS’s Did You Feel It tool.
This seismic activity adds to the ongoing geological dynamics in Southern California, an area known for its frequent earthquakes. No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been confirmed.
