Rihanna and A$AP Rocky enjoyed a night out at the 2025 Gotham Awards on December 1, where they shared their excitement about their growing family while walking the red carpet.
In an interview with Extra TV, Rihanna expressed her pride in Rocky’s achievements in the acting world. The rapper was nominated for a breakthrough performance award for his role in Highest 2 Lowest, although the award ultimately went to Abou Sangaré for Souleymane’s Story.
“Every time I see him on camera in a movie, I’m like, ‘What?’” Rihanna remarked. “I get amazed because I didn’t know he had it in him. But he’s such a great talent.”
Regarding their children, Rihanna noted that the family is doing “amazing.” In September, the couple welcomed their third child, daughter Rocki, completing the family’s lineup with sons RZA, 3, and Riot Rose, 2. “They’re all getting bigger,” she shared. “I cannot take it. My sons, their faces are changing, their necks are getting longer.”
Rihanna turned heads in a striking pink Balenciaga gown and feather hat, while Rocky opted for a classic black suit and pinstripe tie. In conversation with the press, he described life with Rihanna and their children as a “dream come true.”
“Every day is date night… it’s awesome,” he said, elaborating on their plans for their first holiday season with three kids. “I’m looking forward to a white Christmas with snow and some chestnuts roasting. Logs in the fireplace — stuff like that.”
As the year draws to a close, Ri and Rocky have much to celebrate. Rocky received recognition for his acting endeavors and co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala this past May. Meanwhile, Rihanna starred in the new Smurfs movie, which premiered in July. On the same day as the Gotham Awards, she marked a significant milestone with her 2016 album, Anti, recognized for spending 500 weeks on the Billboard 200.
“God ain’t forget bout me!” she wrote on X, celebrating the achievement that distinguishes her album as the one by a Black female soloist to spend the longest time on the chart.
