Richard Kind, Paul Raci, Tovah Feldshuh, and More Join Indie Comedy ‘Not Dead Yet’
Father-Son Duo Completes Indie Comedy ‘Not Dead Yet’
Directing team Eric Weber and Nick Weber have recently concluded filming their latest project, Not Dead Yet, an independent comedy featuring a robust cast, including Richard Kind (A Serious Man), Polly Draper (thirtysomething), and Academy Award nominee Paul Raci (Sound of Metal). Also starring are Tovah Feldshuh (Nobody Wants This), Bill Smitrovich (Life Goes On), and Ed German.
This film marks the flagship project in the newly established “Silver Market” slate, tailored for audiences seeking intelligent, character-driven narratives focused on seniors. The storyline revolves around Elliot Kelman, portrayed by Kind, a 68-year-old creative director whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is unexpectedly dismissed from his advertising agency. Rejecting the notion of fading into obscurity, Elliot retreats to the Hamptons with his wife Gina, played by Draper. There, he joins a group of fellow seniors, including lifelong surfer and artist Cy (Raci), soulful jazz DJ Ned Wednesday (German), blunt yet hardworking Mike (Smitrovich), and spirited actress Paulette (Feldshuh). Together, they embark on an entrepreneurial venture designed for seniors, launching an innovative viral advertising campaign that showcases how experience, creativity, and bold ideas remain timeless.
The screenplay for Not Dead Yet was penned by Eric Weber, whose previous works include Second Best, featuring Joe Pantoliano and Jennifer Tilly; the corporate satire Suits, starring Steve Carell; and Emily & Tim, with Alexis Bledel and Kal Penn. Michael Goodin served as producer for Monolith Pictures.
Kind is represented by Innovative Artists Entertainment and Forster Entertainment; Draper by Untitled Entertainment; Raci by Bicoastal Talent and Literary Agency; Feldshuh by Stewart Talent Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment; and Smitrovich by Realm Talent and Anthem Entertainment.
