Reneé Rapp Makes Her Acting Comeback in Season 5 of ‘The Morning Show’
EXCLUSIVE: Apple TV’s upcoming fifth season of The Morning Show is set to welcome actress and singer Reneé Rapp in a significant recurring role. Rapp will portray Samantha, a young, ambitious star in the UBN news division, determined to make her mark in the media landscape on her own terms.
Rapp’s acting career has gained momentum with notable performances, including her lead role in the HBO Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls and her reprisal of a key role from the Broadway production of Mean Girls in its film adaptation. In her return, Rapp will share the screen with The Morning Show stars and executive producers Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, joining a lineup of new cast members for Season 5 that also includes Jeff Daniels and Jesse Williams.
The ensemble cast features Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm. Produced by Media Res, The Morning Show is showrun and executive produced by Charlotte Stoudt, with direction and executive production from Mimi Leder.
Rapp is represented by WME and the law firm Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
