Premiere of The Drama Draws Celebrities in Los Angeles
The highly anticipated film The Drama had its premiere at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, attended by stars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, among others. The event attracted a diverse array of attendees, including Mamoudou Athie, Kristoffer Borgli, Alana Haim, and Love Island’s Maura Higgins.
Directed and written by Kristoffer Borgli, The Drama is set to hit theaters on April 3, 2026. The film features Zendaya in the role of Emma Harwood, a bookstore clerk engaged to Charlie Thompson, portrayed by Robert Pattinson. As their wedding approaches, the couple’s relationship faces turmoil when unsettling truths are revealed.
Zendaya spoke about her character, saying, “There was something about her fragility and her nuance … she has a whole past that we get into and understand. I felt like that was something I was really interested in trying to portray.”
The film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates, Zoë Winters, and Anna Baryshnikov. Produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner, the film also enlists Borgli and Tyler Campellone through Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24.
As the premiere concluded, attendees expressed excitement for the film, eager to see how the storyline will unfold in theaters.
