Rapper Bhad Bhabie, 22, Talks About Her Journey with Cancer: Finding Strength in Faith
Rapper Bhad Bhabie recently shared a concerning update regarding her ongoing battle with cancer.
On February 28, Bhad Bhabie, 22, announced, “Bad news from my doctor yesterday. God has the last say so, not my cancer,” in a post on X.
While she did not provide further details about her diagnosis or current situation, Bhad Bhabie first revealed her health issues in November 2024.
Addressing criticism regarding her weight loss due to cancer medication, the artist, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, wrote on her Instagram Stories, “I’m sorry my cancer medicine made me loose [sic] weight. I’m slowly gaining back. So, stop running [with] the worst narratives 💕.”
Bhad Bhabie has not elaborated on the specifics of her cancer diagnosis or treatment options. She rose to fame in 2016 after appearing on an episode of Dr. Phil titled “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime.”
During her now-infamous appearance, she coined the phrase, “Catch me outside, that’s what I always do and they never catch me,” and later remarked, “Cash me outside, how ‘bout dat,” suggesting a readiness to confront her critics.
After her viral debut, Bhad Bhabie earned the nickname the “Cash Me Outside Girl” before transitioning into a successful music career.
Reflecting on her evolution as an artist, she told Basic Magazine in October 2023, “I’ve always loved music. When I first started, I didn’t really have the confidence and didn’t think I could actually do it.” She emphasized that her songwriting abilities have improved significantly, stating, “I understand the game now.”
Despite a number of personal and professional challenges, including a change in her musical style, Bhad Bhabie has continued to assert her voice in the industry. “I’m definitely going to show that I’m more mature when it comes to both my content and its delivery,” she explained.
In March 2024, Bhad Bhabie became a mother for the first time, welcoming her daughter, Kali Love. She later discussed her choice of name, saying, “The name doesn’t really have any specific meaning, it’s just his mom picked the middle name, and then I had a list of five names I liked, and Kali was one of them. I thought that Love went good with Kali.”
Bhad Bhabie shares her daughter with Le Vaughn, with whom she has had an on-and-off relationship since 2020. In response to criticism about their relationship, she posted on Instagram, “Leave my man alone, my bad.”
