NEED TO KNOW
- Priscilla Block will soon headline the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in support of her sophomore album.
- “This record was my chance to tell my story and take control of my own narrative,” the country artist says.
- Block, who recently made her red carpet debut with her longtime boyfriend, says she’s spent time challenging herself to “grow.”
Priscilla Block expressed her joy after an unforgettable evening at the CMA Awards, where she made her red carpet debut alongside her boyfriend, Elijah Phillips. "We got back in the car, and he just kept saying, ‘Thank you so much’ and how the night had been so special and how he was honored that he got to be there with me," Block recalled during an interview. Notably, Phillips rarely attends such events but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The couple, who have known each other since their early 20s, seem well on their way to greater achievements both personally and professionally. However, Block was initially reluctant to share their relationship publicly. "I really wanted to protect our love," she stated, referring to her song "Elijah" from her acclaimed album Things You Didn’t See. She explained, "I didn’t want to put it out there until I was ready to share it with the world."
Block prefers to let inquiries about their relationship remain unanswered. "Every story is different," she remarked. "It’s just a reminder that you should never be ashamed of your story. I just love him so much and want the world to see how special he is too."
This blend of music and personal narrative has contributed to Block’s rise as one of country music’s leading female artists. "It’s so special when people just embrace your life and all the things you love, even outside of music," she said, highlighting her connection with fans.
Block is set to continue her journey with her headlining Things You Didn’t See Theatre Tour, culminating at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on March 4. She reflected on her career, stating, "I’ve never been afraid of who I am, but I do think there was a point in my career where I started feeling a little bit misunderstood." Block is determined to reshape the public perception of her artistry. "I knew that this record was my chance to tell my story and take control of my own narrative."

Block aims to make her current tour a unique experience for her fans. "I wanted this tour to be something that the fans have never seen from me," she remarked. The show will feature her starting solo with an acoustic guitar—an approach she has yet to try. With upgraded production values, Block aspires to deliver an arena-quality performance in smaller venues.
To enhance her stage presence, Block has even begun taking dance classes, focusing on comfort and movement. She expressed a desire to participate in Dancing with the Stars, emphasizing her commitment to personal growth as an artist.
As for her relationship with Phillips, Block is optimistic about their future. "I think we will get married," she shared. "We’re not in a big rush. We’re just enjoying where we’re at."
