Prince William and Kate Middleton Share a Heartwarming Moment During Their Visit to Germany
In a display of affection, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a notable moment of public intimacy during Germany’s first state visit to the United Kingdom in nearly 30 years. The couple welcomed German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Büdenbender at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, December 3. During a tour of the Royal Collection, William placed his hand gently on Kate’s back, showcasing a supportive gesture that was captured and later shared on social media.
This visit marks a significant diplomatic occasion, highlighting the importance of UK-Germany relations. For the event, Kate Middleton chose a striking blue Alexander McQueen coat, a piece she previously wore on Christmas Day in 2023, shortly before her cancer diagnosis.
Complementing her outerwear, Middleton wore a black Burberry dress and adorned herself with Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond earrings, a Juliette Millinery fascinator, and the Prince of Wales Feathers Brooch, symbolizing William’s title. Notably, her attire aligned in color with that of Queen Camilla, who also opted for blue.
Historically, public displays of affection from the couple have been infrequent. However, they are increasingly comfortable displaying their connection. “They are happy for people to see them be touchy-feely,” remarked royal biographer Ingrid Seward. “William is very protective and very proud of her for coming through this and carrying on with her life,” she added, reflecting on their evolving relationship as they navigate this new phase together.
