Prince Harry Playfully Teases Meghan Markle in Netflix Special
In a charming segment of Meghan Markle’s Netflix special With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, Prince Harry made a delightful appearance, offering playful banter as his wife prepared gumbo with celebrity chef Tom Colicchio. The couple’s lighthearted interaction was interspersed with affectionate displays of public affection.
The episode, which premiered today, showcases Meghan cooking a holiday feast alongside Colicchio. A highlight of the meal was the gumbo, a cherished dish from her family tradition. “Gumbo, for me, is one of my favorites. Especially her mom’s, but before the fish goes in,” Harry remarked, making his entrance into the kitchen while shyly admitting, “I smelled gumbo.” He then shared a brief but tender kiss with Meghan.
Meghan elaborated on her family’s holiday customs, mentioning how her mother, Doria Ragland, prepares gumbo every Christmas Eve, saving a special portion for Harry without fish, as it suits his preference. "My mom does the turkey sausage for you, so this one has more kick to it," she explained, referring to the andouille sausage in the dish.
As Harry tasted the stew, he humorously noted, “I can feel it puncturing through the top of my head right now,” before declaring the dish delicious but cheekily adding, “I’m not so sure it’s as good as your mom’s but it’s certainly close.” Meghan’s shocked response—“What? Oh, my God!"—indicated her surprise and pleasure at the compliment, emphasizing, “My mom will love you for that. What a good thing to say for your mother-in-law.”
Closing the scene, Meghan expressed gratitude to Colicchio and sealed the moment with another affectionate kiss for Harry, underscoring their endearing relationship in front of the cameras.
