Poser Welcomes New Regular Cast Members as Production Kicks Off: Barbara Hershey, Julio Macias, Adam Beach, and Michael Trucco Join the Team
New Cast Additions Announced for Netflix Series Poser
The ensemble for Lauren Iungerich’s new Netflix series, Poser, expands with the announcement of 17 new cast members as production kicks off in Los Angeles.
Joining the series as regulars are Joel Oulette, known for his role in Carrie, Hubert Smielecki from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Sarah Abbott from The Body. Oulette will portray Nate, Smielecki takes on the role of Max, and Abbott will play Addison. They join previously announced series regulars Daisy Jelley, Sadie Stanley, and Annie Murphy.
The new recurring cast includes notable names such as Barbara Hershey (Strange Darling) as Helen, and newcomer Emily Chen as Billie. Other additions are Ethan Loomis from A Dog’s Perfect Christmas as Randy, musician Golden Landis Von Jones, known as 24kGoldn, as Leif, Silvia Dionicio from Task as Sonia, and Lauren Donzis from Punky Brewster as Zoey. The additional cast features Christian Finlayson (Grosse Pointe Garden Society) as Bodie, Dior Goodjohn from Percy Jackson and the Olympians as Margot, and Ciara Riley Wilson (Freeridge) as Jane. Julio Macias from On My Block will portray Mr. Cartwright, Adam Beach from Flags of Our Fathers will play Tim, and Beth Riesgraf from Leverage: Redemption will appear as Tracy. Michael Trucco from Fire Country plays Rick, while Nikki DeLoach from Awkward takes on the role of Lacey.
Iungerich, the creative mind behind Awkward, On My Block, and Freeridge, reunites with three of her former stars—DeLoach, Macias, and Wilson— for this new venture.
Poser delves into the complexities of toxic female friendships through the lens of a gripping thriller. The story follows two estranged former best friends. When one receives the opportunity to fulfill a long-held dream and unearths the reasons behind their past fallout, she finds herself embroiled in a psychological game of revenge, betrayal, and heartbreak, ultimately changing their lives and the lives of those around them forever.
As both writer and showrunner for Poser, Iungerich oversees the project under her overall deal with Netflix. She and Jamie Dooner serve as executive producers through her production company, Crazy Cat Lady Entertainment.
