Masked Man Captured Setting Fire to Van in Downtown LA
LOS ANGELES – A masked individual was filmed setting a white van ablaze on Monday night in downtown Los Angeles, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on San Julian Street.
Security footage from the scene reveals the suspect approaching the rear of the van shortly before it ignited. The van was found fully engulfed in flames by firefighters upon their arrival. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this incident.
Investigators suspect an accelerant was utilized to ignite the fire. However, the LAPD indicated that they did not respond to the scene, as no arson reports had been filed at that location at the time.
As of Tuesday morning, the identity of the masked suspect remains unknown. Authorities have yet to determine a specific motive for the fire and have not announced any arrests related to the case.
