Piper Perabo Talks About Coyote Ugly, Cherished Beauty Memories, and Her Go-To Bliss Products
Piper Perabo Embraces Nostalgia as She Fronts New Bliss Campaign
Golden Globe-nominated actress Piper Perabo, renowned for her iconic role in "Coyote Ugly," is returning to the spotlight as the face of Bliss’s new Fabgirl Firm Firming & Contouring Body Cream. This launch coincides with the 25th anniversary of the cult classic film, allowing Perabo to evoke a sense of nostalgia while promoting a contemporary skincare product.
The Fabgirl Firm cream is a modern upgrade from Bliss’s original Fatgirl Slim, featuring an enhanced formula that incorporates collagen, caffeine, and botanicals. The product is designed to visibly tighten and tone skin while adhering to the brand’s principles of being vegan and cruelty-free. It launched exclusively on Amazon, with a promotional 30 percent discount as part of the retailer’s Big Spring Sale.
In discussing her involvement with the brand and the product, Perabo emphasized the importance of thoughtful skincare choices as one matures. "I like the Bliss FabGirl Firm Firming & Contouring Body Cream with Collagen for multiple reasons," she stated. "It’s easy and quick to use, which is important with a busy schedule. You just massage it in, and it visibly changes, tones, and smooths uneven skin while enhancing the look of elasticity."
Perabo expressed her appreciation for the rich, luxurious feel of the cream and noted Bliss’s reputation as a clean, dermatologist-tested brand. "This cream is formulated with collagen amino acids and niacinamide, along with magnolia bark extract and caffeine to help smooth and refresh the look of your skin, especially after this long winter!" she added.
Reflecting on her long-standing connection to Bliss as an iconic New York brand, Perabo remarked, “I’ve lived in New York for more than two decades, and Bliss really brings me back to the late ’90s and early 2000s.” She noted the campaign’s ability to resonate with modern sensibilities while tapping into nostalgia, particularly as Western-inspired style gains popularity.
Perabo also shared her thoughts on the impact of "Coyote Ugly" on her life. “It’s wild to think about. ‘Coyote Ugly’ was a big moment in my life, so getting to revisit that era through this campaign with Bliss is really fun,” she noted. “For me, I look good when I’m feeling good, and having healthy skin is a big part of that confidence.”
As the conversation shifted to her experiences during the filming of "Coyote Ugly," Perabo reminisced about the joy of dance rehearsals with her co-stars. "That kind of group exercise with friends was a big part of looking and feeling good for the movie," she said. "I would still rather go to a dance class with friends than any other workout."
Finally, while acknowledging evolving beauty trends, Perabo humorously expressed her disdain for past fads. “I hope we won’t loop back to that brown lip liner and frosted pink lipstick; let’s leave that in the rearview,” she said. Yet, she relished the carefree aesthetic cultivated during her time on set. "Simple, clean, a little wild—that’s always been my favorite kind of beauty.”
