Pete Davidson Shows Off a New Face Tattoo While Navigating a Tough Ink Removal Journey
Pete Davidson Continues Tattoo Transformation, Celebrates Daughter with New Ink
At CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas, Pete Davidson showcased a fresh tattoo dedicated to his daughter, Scottie, marking a meaningful addition to his body art collection. Despite having invested significant time and money into removing a number of tattoos over the past few years, Davidson appears open to celebrating milestones with new ink.
The former "Saturday Night Live" star, who welcomed Scottie with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December 2025, was spotted speaking enthusiastically on stage about his upcoming action-comedy "How to Rob a Bank." He displayed his mostly bare arms, a testament to his previous tattoo removal journey, which reportedly cost him upwards of $200,000.
Davidson, 32, began this elimination process in 2021, citing the discomfort of needing to cover up his tattoos for acting roles. He recounted the lengthy procedure, indicating that it includes multiple sessions that leave him sensitive to sunlight and require significant healing. “I’ve been burning them off,” Davidson humorously noted, adding that the pain is worse than the original process of getting the tattoos.
Historically, Davidson’s tattoos held personal meaning, with tributes to past relationships, notably with Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande. He has since chosen to shed those marks and is refining his ink collection for a fresh start. “I used to be a drug addict… and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up,” he reflected, expressing a desire to move past his previous insecurities.
As Davidson forges ahead, the comedian aims to maintain a few select designs while redefining his public image and personal identity.
