Pamela Anderson’s Honest Feelings About Running Into Seth Rogen at the Golden Globes
Pamela Anderson Calls for Apology from Seth Rogen Over Hulu Series
Pamela Anderson is seeking an apology from Seth Rogen, four years after he produced a series about her life without her consent. The actress expressed her discomfort regarding Rogen’s involvement in the 2022 Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy, which dramatizes events surrounding the infamous 1995 sex tape featuring her and ex-husband Tommy Lee.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Anderson revealed she left the 83rd Golden Globe Awards feeling uneasy about being in Rogen’s vicinity. "At the Golden Globes, for instance, I didn’t leave early. I left after my award, and I went right to bed," she recounted.
Anderson poignantly remarked on the impact of the miniseries, stating, "Seth Rogen, he did that [miniseries] on me without talking to me, Pam & Tommy. How can someone make a TV series out of difficult times in your life? And I’m a living, breathing human being over here, hello."
The limited series is based on a 2014 Rolling Stone article titled “Pam and Tommy: The Untold Story of the World’s Most Infamous Sex Tape.” It starred Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Lee, with Rogen serving as an executive producer and portraying Rand Gauthier, the man responsible for stealing and distributing the notorious video.
Reflecting on her feelings at the awards ceremony, Anderson shared that they sat close to one another and that it triggered a sense of discomfort. "I just felt like, ‘I’m not chopped liver over here.’ I felt a little bit weird about it,” she said.
Despite her busy schedule, which included shooting five films in the past year, Anderson noted the emotional toll these experiences can take. "It just felt a little yucky. Eventually, hopefully he will reach out to me and apologize. Not that that matters,” she added.
Anderson further expressed her belief that “the darkest, deepest secrets or your tragedies in life shouldn’t be fair game for a TV series. That pissed me off a little bit.”
At the Golden Globes, Rogen received accolades for his Apple TV+ series The Studio, winning both Best Actor in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy and Best Television Series — Musical or Comedy.
