In an intense Bay League opener, the Palos Verdes boys’ soccer team, currently ranked No. 1 in California and No. 14 nationally, triumphed over rival Mira Costa after two rounds of overtime.
Goalkeeper Greyson Porth has been pivotal for the Sea Kings this season, notching nine shutouts and 73 saves in just 15 starts, showcasing the strength of the team’s defense.
With an impressive streak of 10 consecutive wins, the Sea Kings are now on a quest to secure their first CIF championship since clinching back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.
