Palisades’ Jake Norr Achieves Two Holes in One and Becomes a Top Contender for the City Section Title
Local Golfer Achieves Rare Feat with Two Holes-in-One
Palisades High junior Jake Norr experienced a spectacular week on the golf course, achieving two holes-in-one within just days of each other. Norr first accomplished the feat earlier this week at Woodley Lakes Golf Course, scoring an ace on the 159-yard fifth hole using a 9-iron. This achievement not only thrilled his teammates and coaches but also set the stage for what could be a strong showing in the upcoming City Section individual title competition this spring.
Following his earlier success, Norr once again displayed his remarkable skill by making a hole-in-one at Harding Golf Course on Thursday. Palisades coach Dave Suarez expressed confidence in Norr’s abilities, stating, “I think he has a good chance” of winning the individual City title.
Suarez praised Norr’s dedication and work ethic, noting his contributions to the last two Palisades teams that clinched City titles. “He’s a really hard worker,” Suarez remarked, emphasizing the golfer’s commitment to the sport. After seeing Norr’s first ace, Suarez confidently predicted, “It was the first of many to come,” a sentiment that proved prescient following Norr’s rapid second hole-in-one.
As the high school golf season progresses, Norr’s exceptional performances highlight both his potential and the excitement surrounding the upcoming competitions.
