The five-month-old daughter of model Olivia Culpo and NFL star Christian McCaffrey is set to inherit an impressive wardrobe, according to her mother. Culpo, who was crowned Miss USA and Miss Universe in 2012, revealed that she “saves everything” for Colette.
“I have a whole storage unit for her with all of my wedding dresses, my pageant dresses— all of my really valuable keepsakes,” she told PEOPLE, emphasizing her desire for these precious items to remain unchanged for her daughter in the future.
Colette can look forward to discovering some remarkable gowns, including the vibrant pink and red dresses her mother wore during her pageants, notably the velvety creation Culpo donned when she won the Miss Universe title in Las Vegas.
Culpo made history as the first American Miss Universe winner in 15 years, following Brook Lee’s victory in 1997.

The collection also includes her custom wedding dress, designed in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana, which was featured in Vogue when the couple’s June 2024 nuptials were highlighted.
“I wanted something that felt as serious as that commitment,” she shared regarding her dress.
In addition to holding onto her own fashion history, Culpo is also saving Colette’s baby clothes as she quickly grows. “It feels like every week I’m pulling out the bins to store her clothes,” she explained.
Culpo’s motivation to preserve these memories stems from her own experiences of her mother purging her childhood wardrobe, including pieces from the Y2K era that she wishes she still had. She has even reconnected with nostalgia through her recent NFL-themed collection for Abercrombie & Fitch.
“You don’t know how these pieces are going to wear and how valuable they can be someday,” she noted. “I look back at the clothes that I used to wear, and I miss them. They are truly a moment in time, and it’s so cool to take somebody back in that way.”
While eager to share her passion for fashion with Colette, Culpo does not necessarily expect her daughter to follow in her footsteps. “I hope that she’s an athlete,” she expressed, referencing her husband’s successful career in football, where Christian McCaffrey has played since being drafted by the NFL in 2017.
“I mean, gosh, I can’t ruin the McCaffrey gene pool like that,” she joked. “Christian has such an intense line of athletes in his bloodline that I’m hopeful that she’s athletic, because if she’s not… you know, that would be my fault.”

Despite the early stages of her life, Colette has already reached developmental milestones, including rolling over and attending her first 49ers game. Culpo expressed excitement for Colette’s growing personality, stating, “She feels so brand new, but I can’t wait to see her little personality shine through more and more.”
