Noah Beck Becomes a Series Regular on Fox’s ‘Baywatch’
Actor Noah Beck, known for his role in Tubi’s successful YA romance series Sidelined, will take on a series regular role in the upcoming Baywatch television series produced by Fox and Fremantle.
Beck is set to portray Luke, a rookie lifeguard who comes from a family of firefighters but has chosen the beach over the firehouse. Described as a charming SoCal beach boy, Luke is not only a dedicated surfer and flirt but also excels in life-saving efforts. Throughout the series, he undergoes personal growth, particularly in his relationship with Hobie Buchannon, played by Stephen Amell, whom Luke views as both a mentor and a father figure.
The newly announced Baywatch cast includes Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, and David Chokachi, who reprises his iconic role as Cody Madison.

Slated for the 2026–2027 season on Fox, production for the reboot will commence this spring in the Los Angeles area. The new series follows Hobie as he takes on the role of Baywatch Captain, honoring the legacy of his legendary father, Mitch. The storyline shifts when his daughter Charlie arrives, motivated to uphold the Buchannon family tradition.
The original Baywatch series premiered in 1989, featuring Jeremy Jackson as Hobie. Over 11 seasons, it gained immense popularity, becoming the most-watched show globally, aired in over 200 countries, and at its peak, reached an audience of more than a billion viewers weekly. The series was instrumental in launching the careers of numerous stars, including David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Jason Momoa, and Yasmine Bleeth.
The new show is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with Matt Nix, known for Burn Notice and The Gifted, serving as showrunner and executive producer. Alongside Nix, executive producers include McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz. Fox Entertainment Global holds all domestic rights, with Fremantle overseeing international sales.
Beck, currently gaining recognition for his role in the Sidelined films — including the recent Sidelined 2: Intercepted, where he served as executive producer — has built a substantial social media following of over 40 million. Released in November 2024, the first Sidelined film, Sidelined: The QB and Me, stands as Tubi’s most-watched original title, breaking into Luminate’s Top 10 Original Streaming Charts during its debut week and generating over 2 billion social media impressions.
In upcoming projects, Beck will star alongside Lewis Pullman, Camila Mendes, and Becky G in Danny Ramirez’s directorial debut, Baton. He is represented by UTA, Underscore Talent, and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
