During the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, not every punchline made it to the stage in Nikki Glaser’s monologue. The seasoned comedian hosted the event, showcasing her sharp wit while taking jabs at various celebrities, but some jokes were left on the cutting room floor.
Among those omitted was a quip directed at actor Timothée Chalamet and his long-term girlfriend Kylie Jenner. Glaser revealed via The Howard Stern Show that she scrapped a joke stating, “Amy Poehler is here for her podcast Good Hang, which is what Timothée Chalamet says after sex.” This joke came just before Chalamet received a Golden Globe for his role in Marty Supreme.
In his acceptance speech, Chalamet expressed gratitude towards Jenner, affectionately calling her his “partner.” The couple, who openly displayed their affection during the awards show, captivated the audience with their chemistry.

While Glaser targeted Chalamet with her humor, she made a deliberate choice to leave Jenner out of her jokes. She remarked, “This is interesting, not a lot of people know this, but Timothée Chalamet is the first actor in history to have to put on muscle for a movie about ping pong,” eliciting laughter from both Chalamet and Jenner in the audience.
Glaser acknowledged the delicate balance comedians must navigate with their material, understanding the potential repercussions of her jokes. “Things do live on in some way and maybe sometimes a joke is just for the room,” she reflected. “There’s been times where jokes have really hurt people’s feelings, or I’ve gone too far. Now, I’m just like, you just don’t get everything you want and you’ve just gotta move on.”

Glaser’s cutting room included jokes not just about Chalamet but also about notable figures like Sydney Sweeney, Sean Penn, and Brad Pitt. After a decision against including a quip targeting Pitt, who did not attend the ceremony, Glaser commented, “When a man turns 60, he gets to play a racecar driver. Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is a tired mom who hates her life.”
