The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to gain significant star power in preparation for the tournament.
On Friday, December 5, a lineup of prominent entertainers will headline the Final Draw for next year’s FIFA World Cup. The event will feature Tony Award-winning actress and singer Nicole Scherzinger, Grammy-nominated tenor Andrea Bocelli, global music star Robbie Williams, and disco icons Village People. This high-profile event will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., with co-hosting duties shared by Heidi Klum, Kevin Hart, and Danny Ramirez.
Scherzinger’s performance at the Final Draw caps a remarkable year for her; she won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her role in *Sunset Boulevard*, her Broadway debut. Bocelli is no stranger to World Cup events, previously headlining the “Celebrate Africa” concert in Johannesburg just days before the final of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Williams returns to the spotlight following his Oscar-nominated biopic *Better Man* and is set to release his 13th studio album, *Britpop*, in February. Village People will make their appearance with their enduring hit “Y.M.C.A.,” concluding the year in a city where they performed during several events related to President Trump’s second inauguration.
In addition to the performances, the Final Draw will determine the group-stage matchups for the inaugural 48-team FIFA World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026. This tournament marks a historic moment, as the United States will serve as the main host alongside co-hosts Canada and Mexico. Former England captain Rio Ferdinand will lead the draw, accompanied by award-winning broadcaster and sports journalist Samantha Johnson.
Joining the entertainment lineup, notable sports figures will act as draw assistants, including NFL legend Tom Brady, NBA star Shaquille O’Neill, hockey great Wayne Gretzky, and New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge. Two-time NFL Super Bowl champion Eli Manning will host the red carpet.
The Final Draw will be broadcast live on FIFA.com and FOX on Friday.
