Nelly and Ashanti’s “We Belong Together” is Back for Season 2 on Peacock!
Peacock has announced the renewal of the reality series Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together for a second season. Production is set to commence this month, with the new episodes scheduled to air later this year.
Premiering on June 26, 2025, the docuseries quickly gained traction, becoming Peacock’s second-highest-reaching unscripted original series among its freshman offerings.
The series provides an in-depth look into the lives of music stars Nelly and Ashanti as they navigate the complexities of parenthood and professional commitments. With their son now reaching toddler age, the couple balances demanding careers, burgeoning business ventures, and the challenges of a blended family under public scrutiny.
Beyond their individual successes, Nelly and Ashanti have emerged as one of the music industry’s most celebrated power couples. This upcoming season promises an intimate exploration of their evolving relationship as they juggle love, family, and international careers.
The executive production team includes Cornell Haynes Jr., Ashanti Haynes, Tina Douglas, J. Erving, Rebecca Quinn, Jennifer O’Connell, Nick Alarcon, Steve Michaels, Simon Thomas, Ariel Brozell, Oji Singletary, and Asabi Lee, with production handled by Pantheon Media Group and Velvet Hammer Media.
Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together marks the couple’s latest foray into reality television. Nelly previously starred in Nellyville, which ran for two seasons on BET in 2014 and 2015, and the mockumentary Real Husbands of Hollywood. He has also featured in films like The Longest Yard and appeared in TV series such as CSI: New York and Dancing with the Stars.
Ashanti, too, has a diverse portfolio, having participated in various movies and series, including Army Wives and Love & Listings.
