NBC Shares Exciting Summer Lineup with Premieres of ‘America’s Got Talent’, ‘American Ninja Warrior’, ‘Password’, and ‘Surviving Earth’
NBC has announced its summer programming lineup, featuring returning favorites such as America’s Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior, alongside the premiere of its new natural history series, Surviving Earth.
The network’s summer schedule highlights the third season of Password, hosted by Jimmy Fallon. Both America’s Got Talent and Password will debut on June 2, while Surviving Earth makes its debut on June 4. American Ninja Warrior will follow with its 18th season premiering on June 8.
Returning for this season of America’s Got Talent are judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel, and Mel B, with Terry Crews serving as host. The live shows are set to begin on August 18. The series is produced by Fremantle and Syco Entertainment, with Cowell, Sam Donnelly, and Natasha Brugler as executive producers.
Surviving Earth takes viewers back 450 million years to an era populated by giant sea scorpions, mammoths, and sabertooths. This series, co-produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and Loud Minds, will be followed by repeats of The Americas.
American Ninja Warrior, hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, with Zuri Hall as co-host, will feature a new round that includes a supersized three-lane racecourse, where competitors will face off in side-by-side races. The show is produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, with executive producers including Arthur Smith and Kent Weed.
Additionally, The Wall, a game show hosted by Chris Hardwick, will continue its sixth season with episodes airing from August 19.
Notably, Yes, Chef!, which was hosted by Martha Stewart and José Andrés, will not be returning this summer, having been canceled after its inaugural season.
