Mr. Brainwash Launches Heartfelt ‘Dreams Come True’ Collection in Collaboration with Disney
Mr. Brainwash to Unveil New Disney-Inspired Collection in December
Mr. Brainwash, the renowned street artist known for his vibrant and eclectic work, is set to debut a new collection in collaboration with Disney. This global unveiling will take place on December 1, simultaneously at his art museum in Beverly Hills and at the Mayfair Gallery in London.
The collection, titled "Dreams Come True," showcases Mr. Brainwash’s reinterpretation of beloved Disney characters, including Mickey & Friends, infused with his signature pop-art style. The artist incorporates his mantra, "Life is Beautiful," into innovative new iconography, blending classic Disney imagery with contemporary street art.
Featuring sculptures, original canvases, and 14 limited-edition silkscreen prints, the "Dreams Come True" collection melds pop culture with high art. In addition to the art show, Clarendon Fine Art will host a citywide social media scavenger hunt in London, known as the “Dreams Come True Trail,” offering participants a chance to win various prizes.
Describing the collection as “a love letter to L.A.,” Guetta emphasized the city’s spirit of reinvention. “Los Angeles has always been about reinvention. About taking dreams seriously. This project is proof that high art, pop culture, street energy, and legacy can all live together in one space,” he stated.
In reflecting on the challenge of balancing his own artistic style with Disney’s iconic storytelling, Guetta remarked, “It was like dancing with a legend. You follow the rhythm, but you still bring your own steps.” He noted that while Disney’s style is structured and timeless, his own approach is “wild, loud, and spontaneous,” emphasizing a desire to merge these distinct artistic worlds without sacrificing their essence.
When asked about the potential for future collaborations with Disney, Guetta conveyed his enthusiasm, saying, “This collaboration isn’t just about nostalgia, it’s about what comes next.”
