Miley Cyrus Shares a Playful Joke About Her Engagement Ring from Maxx Morando on Black Friday
Miley Cyrus recently revealed a humorous twist regarding her engagement ring from Maxx Morando during an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
The singer joked that her ring was a “Black Friday deal.” Host Jimmy Kimmel congratulated her on her engagement, suggesting that Morando might have strategically timed the proposal to avoid needing to buy a Christmas gift.
When Kimmel made the comment about Morando saving on gifts, Cyrus replied with a grin, “This was [a] Black Friday deal, baby.” She quickly added that while it wasn’t literally a Black Friday purchase, her fiancé was indeed clever. “It might have been. I’m not sure,” she said with a shrug.
Cyrus, 33, highlighted Morando’s thoughtfulness during the interview, stating, “He was smart that way.” The couple has been engaged after four years of dating.
Cyrus and Morando publicly confirmed their relationship in 2022 after being spotted together, and by February 2024, they were living together. An insider remarked, “Everyone loves Maxx. He’s a great guy. She is very happy with him.”
The engagement news was first reported on December 2, shortly after Cyrus appeared at the world premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” sporting her new ring. Jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche crafted the cushion-cut, 14-karat gold engagement ring.
During her appearance on “Good Morning America,” Cyrus recounted her surprise at the unexpected proposal during a trip to Asia, stating, “I had completely surrendered. I was so, so surprised.” She praised Morando for his excellent choice in the ring.
