Meghan Trainor Shakes Up Plans and Cancels Get In Girl Tour
Meghan Trainor Cancels Upcoming Tour
Pop artist Meghan Trainor announced the cancellation of her much-anticipated Get In Girl Tour, originally scheduled to commence in June. The decision comes amid her balancing act of releasing a new album, Toy With Me, and welcoming a new baby.
On April 16, Trainor took to Instagram to share the news, stating, “After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour. Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time.”

Trainor expressed her regret in the post, acknowledging, “I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down. But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now. I promise I’ll be back soon, and I can’t wait for you to hear this new record. I’m so proud of it, and I’m endlessly grateful for your love and support always.”
The Get In Girl Tour, produced by Live Nation, was first announced in November and was to feature special guests Icona Pop. The tour was set to begin on June 12 in Clarkston, Michigan, and include stops in Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Houston, with performances in iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum.
Trainor’s new album Toy With Me is scheduled for release on April 24 through Epic Records. It features singles such as “Still Don’t Care,” “Get In Girl,” and her latest track, “Shimmer.” This album marks her seventh studio release.
In January, Trainor and her husband Daryl Sabara welcomed their third child, a daughter named Mikey Moon Trainor. The couple expressed their excitement about expanding their family, with Trainor sharing that her two older sons, 4-year-old Riley and 2-year-old Barry, even chose her middle name. She noted, “We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all.”
