Meghan Markle Presents ‘Grown-Up’ Gift to Princess Lilibet
Meghan Markle surprised her daughter, Princess Lilibet, with a "grown-up" Christmas gift during her Netflix holiday special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. The Duchess of Sussex crafted personalized Christmas crackers for each family member, with Lilibet receiving a lavender roller in hers, reflecting her mother’s lighthearted acknowledgment of her daughter’s desire to act like a "grown-up lady."
At just four years old, Princess Lilibet is already revealing her blossoming personality, a sentiment expressed by her mother, Meghan Markle. During the special, she shared her views on family traditions, offering practical tips for holiday celebrations.
In one segment, Meghan, alongside restaurateur Will Guidara, made traditional British Christmas crackers, a festive staple consisting of a cardboard tube wrapped in decorative paper. When pulled apart, the crackers make a distinct popping noise and typically contain small gifts or treats, enhancing the holiday spirit.
“Living in the U.K., it’s just such a big part of [the culture over there]. For Christmas holidays, for sure," Meghan noted. "Typically, people cross arms and do it. So they sit around the table, and they all pull at the same time. It does feel really connected and sweet."

Markle’s attention to family extends throughout the special, where she prepares individualized crackers for each relative. Lilibet’s gift is a unique reflection of her mother’s awareness of her interests. Meghan noted with humor that Lilibet is currently eager to engage in adult-like activities.
The festive program also highlights Meghan’s interactions with notable figures, including tennis champion Naomi Osaka and chef Tom Colicchio. Prince Harry made a brief appearance, sharing a tender moment with Markle as they enjoyed holiday treats together.
“I love the holiday season,” Markle expressed during the show, emphasizing the importance of connecting with loved ones while honoring cherished traditions.
The holiday special aligns with the launch of her lifestyle brand’s inaugural holiday collection, showcasing various festive products integrated into the program’s scenery.
Additionally, Princess Lilibet and her brother, Archie, participated in community service over the holiday season, assisting their parents at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles (OBKLA), an organization focused on serving food-insecure families. Images from this outing displayed the children actively engaged in the joyful process of meal preparation for those in need.
In a previous interview, Meghan reflected on the magic of making new memories with her children and the joy of reliving holiday traditions through their eyes. “Now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year," she said, noting their shared commitment to enjoying the holiday season together.
