Meghan Markle Reveals Special Photo of Princess Lilibet Captured by Prince Harry
Meghan Markle Celebrates International Women’s Day with Heartfelt Family Photo
On March 8, Meghan Markle marked International Women’s Day by sharing a touching photo of herself alongside her four-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet. The snapshot, taken by her husband Prince Harry, captures a serene moment of the two snuggling together on a beach while sitting on rocks near the water.
In her Instagram post, Markle affectionately referred to the day, writing, “For the woman she will one day be… Happy International Women’s Day,” and credited the image to “Papa Sussex.”
This year’s tribute continues Markle’s tradition of honoring International Women’s Day since returning to Instagram on January 1, 2025. Last year, she shared a previously unseen photograph of Lilibet along with a carousel that included images of her mother, Doria Ragland, and moments with Harry.
Meghan’s reflections on the day highlighted the importance of celebrating strong women. She previously stated, “Happy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the strong women around us & the girls with dreams who will become women with vision. Also thanking those who uplift us every day.”
Markle frequently shares glimpses into Lilibet’s life, as well as that of her six-year-old son, Prince Archie. On Lilibet’s birthday, she expressed her joy, stating, “Four years ago today she came into our lives—and each day is brighter and better because of it.”
Additionally, in a Netflix holiday special, Markle shared that Lilibet is currently exploring her identity, saying, “Lili really likes trying to be a grown-up lady at the moment." Despite her young age, Lilibet receives continuous acknowledgment from her mother, as seen during International Day of the Girl, where Meghan encouraged girls to advocate for their rights.
In an interview last year, Meghan discussed the significance of her brand, As Ever, emphasizing the multigenerational narrative of empowerment she hopes to instill in Lilibet. She stated, “Being able to have my own little girl, as I’ve spent so much of my life championing the rights of girls and women… I love the heritage feeling of it and knowing this is something that I can create in front of my daughter.”
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Kate Middleton also recognized International Women’s Day. In a social media tribute, she reflected on the qualities of women in families and communities, stating: “Today we celebrate the kindness, resilience, and quiet strength of women… This day is about standing up alongside one another.”
Markle’s and Middleton’s messages underscore the importance of female empowerment and the ongoing journey toward gender equality.
