Megan Thee Stallion Takes the Stage in Broadway’s ‘Moulin Rouge!’ with a Stunning ‘Savage’ Debut

Megan Thee Stallion has made her Broadway debut as Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The rapper celebrated this milestone on Tuesday, March 24, by sharing a video of her first curtain call.
In a clip recorded from the audience at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City, Megan took to the stage in an embellished red jacket, glitzy boots, and a top hat. As she closed the show, she quoted one of her Billboard Hot 100 hits, exclaiming, “I’m a savage” to thunderous applause.
Following her proclamation, she waved to the audience and showcased her signature dance moves before joining the cast for a final kick line. “MY BROADWAY DEBUT AS ZIDLER IN @moulinrougebway,” she wrote in her caption. “So grateful for this incredible cast & crew & everyone who worked so hard to make opening night a success!! HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!”
Megan will continue her role as Zidler on Broadway through May 17, joining a lineage of musicians making the leap into theatre. Notable recent performers include Nicole Scherzinger, who starred in Sunset Boulevard, and Michelle Williams, who currently takes on a lead role in Death Becomes Her.
In addition to her theatre work, the Houston rapper has appeared in screen projects such as Reggie Dinkins and Dicks: The Musical. Her most recent album, Megan, achieved No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in 2024. That same year, she released singles “Whenever” and “Lover Girl,” the latter reaching the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
